Faith, a dedicated mother and farmer in Shimwa Paul, worked tirelessly raising livestock and cultivating maize to support her family.

Economic Isolation: Faith couldn’t transport her produce to larger markets, forcing her to sell at low prices within her village.

Lack of Financial Services: Without access to financial services, she can’t save money, take out loans, or invest in better farming equipment.

Health Risks: Her children are at constant risk of malaria, diarrhea, and other preventable diseases due to a lack of clean water.

Limited Opportunities: Faith’s business is trapped in a cycle of poverty, unable to grow or become more profitable.

Kinvest’s Solar-Powered Market Hub was a turning point in Faith’s life. Seeing the low rental rates, she fulfilled her dream of starting a restaurant. With reliable energy, she keeps her restaurant open year-round and stores ingredients on-site. Operating the restaurant allows Faith to continue vending milk and maize while expanding her customer pool, boosting her earnings. Through Business Leader Development training, Faith learned to manage finances, develop business strategies, and lead effectively.
