The Kinvest Shimwa Paul Solar Market Hub is our fourth marketplace. Officially opened in April 2022, this flagship location serves a growing region, as hundreds of new families have moved into the area in recent years, rapidly transforming it from rural to semi-urban. We are located near a public housing development, where many people only have part-time jobs and are eager for more opportunities.

The hub now produces enough clean water each day for 1,553 families. It is also home to our largest solar power system to date, capable of powering 30 commercial shops and six industrial buildings with renewable energy. Currently, it is powering 7 businesses, marking a strong start as we scale access.

Through our Business Leader Development Program, we have trained 106 leaders and have helped 28 families join local savings groups.

In the coming years, our focus will be on building a strong foundation, coaching entrepreneurs, strengthening business capacity, and launching clean electric transportation with recharging stations throughout Nyagatare District, especially at Shimwa Paul.
